Silence unsettles us, yet it speaks.
Imagine meeting someone you love after years apart, and they say nothing.
A glance, a pause, the atmosphere itself—all become part of the conversation.
Silence is not emptiness.
It is meaning waiting to be received.
Throughout history, silence has carried weight.
It has been prayer.
Remembrance.
Resistance.

Silence is never neutral.
It shapes the way we understand the world.

The unspoken bond between partners.
The stillness of a family gathered together.
Silence reveals what words cannot contain:
Love.
Beauty.
And life itself.
That is why This Is Earth was created.
Twelve uninterrupted minutes, preserved exactly as they happened.

沈黙もまた言葉である
沈黙は、私たちを少しだけ戸惑わせます。
けれど、沈黙には言葉があります。
何年も会えなかった大切な人と再会したとして、
もし、お互い何も話さなかったとしても、
交わした視線。
流れた静かな時間。
